Part of the Aslı Filinta Anatolian Nomad – ‘Yörük’ Collection, this one-of-a-kind piece draws from the ceremonial head adornments of Anatolia’s Yörük women — richly layered compositions in which flowers, textiles, coins, colour and metalwork carried both beauty and meaning.

Rather than reproducing a historic headpiece, Aslı Filinta reinterprets its visual language through contemporary proportion and construction.

The piece was made entirely by hand in Buldan, Denizli, by artisan and educator Nihal Güngör Kılınç. Twenty exceptionally thin brass leaves are individually cut and press-formed to build the architectural crown. A structured felt fez forms its foundation, lined with a traditional printed cotton yemeni. Hand-applied florals, penez-inspired coin details and cascading textile layers introduce colour, movement and abundance, while the veil is finished with delicate hand embroidery and fine edging.
