Rooted in the regional history of Erzurum, the Ehram is a traditional Anatolian outer garment shaped entirely by local wool weaving. Crafted on handlooms from finely spun sheep’s wool, its geometric and botanical motifs are integrated directly during the weaving process. Historically, the naturally occurring tones of the fleece served as a visual language of societal roles, where ivory signaled newly married women and deep brown shades denoted different life chapters.
