During an international panel discussion, Aslı Filinta encouraged her audience to be more creative with their style and exit the unreasonable and destructive fashion trends and demands. The designer stated, ‘We can find new creative ways to motivate people and make sustainability cool again!’ and urged the audience to use creativity to cultivate compelling imagery, narratives, films, and influential figures to capture consumer behavior.

Following this statement, Aslı Filinta and her team started imagining an entertaining video series promoting upcycling as the designer transforms unused clothing into new garments. Inspired by the DIY culture, the team started working and created a pilot episode for the video series involving the famous Turkish singer/songwriter Nil Karaibrahimgil. The successful pilot episode has already reached thousands, setting a pioneering example of how sustainability, fashion, and media can come together effectively.
